HOW IT ALL STARTED

Pernell Family Services LLC is a multifaceted company that provide direct and indirect services in the human services field. We began providing services for the community in 2019. The company was developed with the strategic plan of assisting those low-income families and groups with services to realize a more gainful life and to empower the groups towards change. Our company is also charged with community collaboration with diverse groups, organizations, and entities which seek to support the positive changes, needed in our local, region, and state areas. As we grew, we expanded in a fee for service after-school program, family service center, and case management service.

Pernell Community Center is a 501 c3 non-profit Organization. We started as a voluntary agency, providing food bank services, transportation services, elder care, and clothes closet Our target population has been low-income children, families and elderly; however, we are a need-based company and provide services to anyone who presents in
need. Our premise is to offer services to all based on DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Pernell Community Center is designed to support children, families, elderly and person who are special needs through the services provided, to ensure the persons served remains in the least restrictive environment.

JOSEPH AND TERESA PERNELL

FOUNDERS 

Teresa and Joseph Pernell are the owners of Pernell Family Services LLC and Pernell Community Center. We reside in Dillon S.C. We have three daughters, Octavia Bethea, Shanta Pernell, and Kerria Pernell. We have one grandson Alex Pernell. Teresa Pernell is a graduate of Walden University with a master’s degree in human services and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ashford University. Joseph Pernell is a Safety Manger over Aries Manufactory.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
